Response to the humanitarian crisis?in Ukraine

The invasion of Ukraine has caused an escalating humanitarian crisis. As a global company, ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ has taken a number of actions to help address those affected by the current situation, both internally and externally, and we are continuously building on these efforts as the crisis unfolds.

Our commitment to all those affected

We have more than 350,000 placemakers across our business, including Ukrainian and Russian colleagues, who are all an integral part of our ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ family. We are proud of our diverse and inclusive culture, which embraces colleagues from around the world. We are present in many of the countries that are currently receiving Ukrainian refugees and are committed to doing all we can to support our people, customers and all those affected by this catastrophe. We have put in place a number of initiatives to support the victims of this crisis, including:

Immediate donation

Making an immediate donation to Polska Akcja Humanitarna, a leading humanitarian relief agency in Poland, with support including food and accommodation.

Extract employees from Ukraine

Working with one of our Global Key Account customers to extract around 1,000 of their employees from Ukraine, coordinating this from Poland and renting a campus for them.

Partnering with the International Committee of the Red Cross

Partnering with the International Committee of the Red Cross to set up a donation scheme for all ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ employees, with ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ matching every employee's donation.

Offering employee volunteer days

Offering employee volunteer days and paid time off to support the relief effort in other countries including ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Denmark and ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Switzerland and supporting local site initiatives such as at ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ Spain to collect medical products, winter clothes etc.

Job opportunities for refugees

We are currently looking into how we can offer job opportunities to those who have had to flee from their homes and settle in a new country.

Employee assistance helplines

Establishing employee assistance helplines to provide counselling and support mental wellbeing.

Volunteering opportunities for our Polish employees

Setting up and supporting volunteering opportunities for our employees in Poland, such as using ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ vehicles to transport people from the Ukraine border, giving accommodation and shelter, donating essential supplies ¨C including ensuring space in the humanitarian convoys to Kyiv ¨C donating blood, as well as launching an employee app to register help.

At ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ, we have seen how the devastating war in Ukraine is leading to tragic humanitarian consequences. Our hearts are with all who are directly in harm's way as a result of this invasion.

Sanctions, compliance and business continuity

In addition, we remain fully compliant with international sanctions introduced against Russia and will continue to carry out due diligence and sanctions screening as these develop and unfold. We are monitoring our financial transactions to ensure that no ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ entity, subject to the sanctions, has transactions with Russian financial institutions. ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ will not do business with sanctioned entities and will take immediate action to terminate any business relationship with a sanctioned entity.

In line with our strategic ambition to simplify our business, we have divested all activities in Russia.

We have also taken the necessary precautions and steps to ensure business continuity and safeguard our systems and information. Although ÁñÁ«ÊÓƵ does not directly operate in Ukraine and our services are not directly impacted by current events, our in-house security operations centre has been on heightened alert for several weeks already prior to the escalation of the conflict due to the increased threat landscape and subsequent malware activity in Ukraine.
